About Lyall 

Lyall grew up in Grangetown with his family, attending Hill View Infants and Junior Schools before studying at Southmoor. He studied History and Politics at Northumbria University and is currently studying a Masters in Marketing. Lyall regularly plays squash and enjoys staying active. 

Lyall is currently a councillor for St Michael's ward, being first elected in 2021 and being re-elected in 2024. He has served as Deputy Leader since 2023 and was previously Association Chairman. He is currently Association Deputy Chairman (Political) and is in charge of planning elections and democratic engagement for the Sunderland Conservatives in Sunderland. 

He was key in exposing the scandal that none of the speed cameras in Sunderland were actually turned on and is leading our charge to secure School Street Schemes for communities effected by bad school time parking.
