We, the undersigned, being local government electors for the electoral wards of Washington North, Washington South, Washington East, Washington West and Washington Central, all within the local authority area of Sunderland City Council, to whom this petition is addressed, seek the creation of a town council in Washington (‘the defined area’).
The defined area comprises the total area represented by the Sunderland City Council electoral wards of Washington North, Washington South, Washington East, Washington West and Washington Central.
