George Howe

Councillor for Fulwell Ward

I was elected as councillor for Fulwell in 1996 following my return from Saudi Arabia and Libya, where I worked as Project Engineer. Prior to that I was Visiting Lecturer in Sunderland Polytechnic, before going to Canada where I studied Technical Education at the University of Toronto and completed my fourth year of university education.
I am married to Pat, a former teacher of Biology at Monkwearmouth School, and we have two sons.
