Local Conservatives announce Great British September Clean plans

Sunderland's Conservatives have announced a city-wide litter pick plan as part of Keep Britain Tidy's Great British September Clean.

Beginning on 5th September, local Conservatives and members of the local community will be doing their bit to tidy up our parks, playing fields, beaches and streets.

Details of our sessions are below. If you are able to join us, please come along - all necessary equipment will be provided and we will arrange for collection of the rubbish.

  • Saturday 5th September
    • St Michael's - 1pm - meeting in the Rosedene car park
    • Barnes - 5pm - meeting at the entrance to Wearhead Drive
  • Saturday 12th September
    • St Peter's - 11am - meeting at Grannie Annie's on Marine Walk
    • Fulwell - 1pm - meeting at House of Zen at Seaburn
  • Wednesday 16th September
    • Ryhope - 6pm - meeting at the Ryhope Village war memorial
  • Saturday 26th September
    • St Anne's - 11am - meeting at King George playing fields, Pennywell
    • Hendon - 1pm - meeting at Hendon beach
